Dr Sarah Mazouz

Sarah Mazouz promoviert 2010 am EHESS (Paris) zum Thema "Die Republik und Ihre Anderen. Politiken der Diskriminierung und Einbürgerungspraktiken im Frankreich der 2000er" (Betreuung: Prof. D. Fassin). Von November 2010 bis Juni 2013 war sie als Post-Doktorandin Mitglied des ERC-Forschungsprogramms MORALS – Towards a Critical Moral Anthropology. Sie forschte in Jobcentern für Jugendliche, und untersuchte die Wertvorstellungen und Emotionen von Arbeitsvermittler und von Jugendlichen mit Migrationshintergrund. Seit Oktober 2013 arbeite sie zu Doppelter Staatsangehörigkeit in Deutschland mit besonderem Augenmerk auf Deutsch-Tunesier. Seit Oktober 2017 ist sie Forscherin am CNRS (CERAPS).;

Sarah Mazouz a soutenu en 2010 à l'EHESS (Paris) une thèse dirigée par Didier Fassin et intitulée "La République et ses autres. Politiques de la discrimination et pratiques de naturalisation dans la France des années 2000". De novembre 2010 à juin 2013, elle a été chercheuse post-doctorante au sein du programme MORALS - Towards a Critical Moral Anthropology, financé par le Conseil européen de la recherche. Ses travaux ont alors eu pour objet la mobilisation de jugements moraux dans les dispositifs d’insertion professionnelle à l’attention de jeunes issus de classes populaires et racialisés. Depuis octobre 2013, elle est post-doctorante au Centre Marc Bloch et y entame une recherche post-doctorale portant sur les politiques et les usages sociaux de la double nationalité en France et en Allemagne. L'année 2013-2014 sera consacrée à la première partie du volet allemand de cette enquête et se focalisera plus précisément sur l'administration de la double nationalité à Berlin et sur un groupe précis de binationaux, les Germano-tunisiens. Depuis octobre 2017, elle est chargée de recherche au CNRS (CERAPS).;

Sarah Mazouz defended her PhD dissertation, surpivised by Didier Fassin and entitled "The French Republic and Her Others. Anti-discrimination Policies and Practices of Naturalization in France in the Years 2000", in 2010 at the EHESS (Paris). From November 2010 to June 2013, she conducted a post-doctoral research in the multidisciplinary research programme MORALS – Towards a Critical Moral Anthropolgy for which Didier Fassin was awarded an Advanced Grant of the European Research Council. Through an ethnography of a youth employment centre in the suburb of Paris, my work tried to explore the moral and emotional issues involved in the relationship between young people, mostly from working-class and immigrant origins, and their advisors. Since October 2013, she is post-doctoral fellow at the Centre Marc Bloch. She leads a new research project on dual citizenship issues in Germany. Through an ethnographic approach, she studies both dual citizenship politics and experiences. During this first year, her project focuses on German -Tunsian.
