European Gulag Oral Archives ProjectThe starting point of this workshop is an ongoing research on the Europeans’ experience of the Gulag – from the deportation in USSR to the reinsertion into ordinary life after liberation – during and after World War II. This research is being conducted through the collection of life stories and the workshop’s goal is a confrontation with other similar enterprises of oral history in Europe in order to discuss issues of methodology as well as those connected with the diffusion and exploitation of these sources.Number of places limited, so please register at sibylle.auer@cmb.hu-berlin.de.
