Colloque „Comment j’ai fêté la fin du monde“, 1989 dans le cinéma d’Europe Centrale et Orientale

Le cinéma a trouvé dans l’effondrement du monde communiste une source d’inspiration : 12:08 East of Bucharest (Corneliu Poromboiu, Roumanie, 2007), The world is big (Stephan Komandarev, Bulgarie, 2008), Cinema Komunisto (Mila Turajlic, Serbie, 2010), The 27th Image (Pavo Marinković, Croatie/République Tchèque, 2013) sont autant de films récents qui proposent un regard nouveau sur la fin des régimes communistes. Comment j’ai fêté la fin du monde (2006) est le titre choisi par le réalisateur Catalin Mitulescu pour son film qui envisage la Révolution roumaine de 1989 comme la disparition d’un monde. La question de la fin du communisme a progressivement acquis de nouvelles nuances avec la distance avec les évènements et l’ouverture progressive des archives. Mais aujourd’hui, 25 ans après la chute du Mur de Berlin, elle suscite encore de nombreux débats. En choisissant comme point de départ le tournant de 1989, ce colloque se propose d’interroger comment le cinéma documentaire et de fiction (allemand, balkanique, bulgare, hongrois, polonais, roumain, slovaque et tchèque) a contribué à la compréhension de ce moment historique. Si l’année 1989 n’est qu’une étape dans un processus de transformation plus étendu dans le temps, l’objectif plus général du colloque est de croiser des réflexions sur le rapport de ces cinématographies avec l’histoire et la société post-communiste.
