ONLINE – DREAM – Générations militantes et révolution
2.11.2020
14:30
We are pleased to announce the launch of the seminar „Décentrer les révolutions/ Decentering Revolutions“ proposed by the research team of the DREAM project. The first session on the topic „Activist Generations and Revolution“ will take place on Monday 2 November 2020 from 14:30 to 17:30. The interdisciplinary seminar, which proposes a reflection on revolutionary itineraries, is structured around two themes: 1] A reflection on the biographical consequences of protest, focusing on recent mobilizations (from December 2010), articulated on the presentation of recent works that have been able to raise this type of questions. Three sessions are planned within the framework of the first thematic strand. 2] A series of presentations, readings and discussions on the spaces of political learning around the university and the school, conceived as a first series of identifications of places in which ruptures and commitments occur, or simply learning techniques that can then be exploited in mobilization. The first three sessions on biographical consequences, proposed by Amin Allal and Youssef El Chazli, are workshops without formal presentation. They are not intended to be completely open. You are however warmly invited to follow the discussion which will be transmitted via Zoom. Please write an email to dream@cmb.hu-berlin.de to receive the access data. The public seminar will start on 4th of January 2021. Attached you will find the presentation of the „DREAM Seminar“ with the provisional program as well as the introduction to the first three sessions. Further information will also be available on our research blog on https://dream.hypotheses.org/. The seminar is offered jointly by the Centre d’histoire sociale des mondes contemporains (CHS), Paris and the Centre Marc Bloch (CMB), Berlin. We are looking forward to your participation and to an inspiring exchange even if it is only virtuel !
