A Transnational Political History. A spin-off of a two-year seminar series held at the History Centre at Sciences Po, Paris, this edited volume proposes a fresh approach to the history of the political Left. It focuses primarily on the transnational dimension of the structures, networks and practices that involved leftist political leaderships and grassroots activists throughout the 20th century. This way, it aims to contribute to the renewal of political history in the context of the global and transnational turns, while at the same time putting the political dimension back in the literature on globalisation and the making of a transnational world. The workshop will represent an occasion to discuss the historiographical perspective of the book, as well as the methodological challenges of writing a political history of left-wing internationalisms.
