Biografie

Antonios Kalatzis ist Philosoph mit Schwerpunkt deutscher Idealismus und die posthegelsche Philosophie bis zur Gegenwart. Er hat an der Freien Universität Berlin promoviert. Er war von 2013 bis 2017 Post Doctoral Researcher an der Martin Buber Society of Fellows in the Humanities and Social Sciences an der Hebräischen Universität in Jerusalem. Zwischen 2017 und 2020 war er wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter und Gründungsmitglied der wissenschaftlicher Leitung des Forschungsschwerpunkts Dynamiken und Erfahrungen der Globalisierung/ Dynamiques et savoirs de la globalisation am Centre Marc Bloch, wo er zusammen mit Markus Messling und Leyla Dakhli, die programmatischen Zielen und das Forschungsprofil des Forschungsschwerpunkts gesetzt sowie die Gründungstexte verfasst  hat. Zurzeit ist er Ko-Leiter des Forschungsschwerpunkts "Kritisches Denken im Plural. Begriffliche Wege der Sozialforschung" und er leitet die Arbeitsgruppe "Centre Marc Bloch Arbeitsgruppe Deutscher Idealismus" Darüber hinaus ist er Mitglied des Auswahlkomitees der Martin Buber Society of Fellows an der Hebräischen Universität in Jerusalem und Koordinator der Zusammenarbeit zwischen der Martin Buber Society of Fellows und dem Centre Marc Bloch. Seine Forschung ist angesiedelt auf der Schnittstelle zwischen klassischer deutscher Philosophie, ihrer Transformationen in der Gegenwartsphilosophie und ihrer Bedeutung für die Religionsphilosophie im säkularen Zeitalter. Sein Interesse gilt u.a. der Frage nach dem Sinn philosophischer Aktivität sowie dem sogenannten Sturz der Metaphysik. Konkreter wird diese Problematik untersucht anhand des Vergleichs der Philosophie Hegels mit Autoren, welche ebenfalls über den Sinn der Philosophie reflektiert haben, wie Franz Rosenzweig, Ludwig Wittgenstein und Karl Löwith und der  Untersuchung der Interaktion von Logik, Sprache und Gesellschaftlichkeit und die Herausforderung der Historizität für den universellen Anspruch philosophischer Erkenntnis. Seine Dissertation Explikation und Immanenz. Das dreifache Argument der Wissenschaft der Logik erscheint demnächst als Hegel-Jahrbuch Sonderband (De Gruyter). Zusammen mit Anne Eusterschule gibt er in Kürze den Band From Ionia to Jena. Franz Rosenzweig and the History of Philosopy (Neofelis) heraus sowie ebenfalls mit Anne Eusterschulte und Enrico Lucca den Band Into Life. Antonios Kalatzis est philosophe, spécialiste de Kant, Hegel et de la philosophie post-hégélienne à nos jours. Il a soutenu sa thèse de doctorat au Freie Universität à Berlin. Entre 2013 et 2017 il a eu une bourse de recherche postdoctorale à la Martin Buber Society of Fellows in the Humanities and Social Sciences à l’Université hébraïque de Jérusalem. De 2017 à 2020, il était collaborateur scientifique (wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter) et membre fondateur de la direction scientifique de l’équipe de recherche Dynamiken und Erfahrungen der Globalsierung / Dynamiques et savoirs de la mondialisation au Centre Marc Bloch. Étant co-auteur des textes fondateurs de l’équipe, Il a défini, avec Markus Messling et Leyla Dakhli, ses objectifs et son profil de recherche. Il co-dirige actuellement l’équipe de travail "Pensées critiques au pluriel. Approches conceptuelles de la recherche en sciences sociales" et la "Centre Marc Bloch Arbeitsgruppe Deutscher Idealismus", De plus, Antonios est membre du comité de sélection de la Martin Buber Society of Fellows à l'Université hébraïque de Jérusalem et coordinateur scientifique de la coopération entre le Martin Buber Society of Fellows et le Centre Marc Bloch. Sa recherche vise l’intersection entre la philosophie classique allemande, ses transformations en philosophie contemporaine et sa pertinence pour la philosophie de la religion en cette époque séculière. Un intérêt particulier est porté dans la question de l’activité philosophique après le prétendu effondrement de la métaphysique. Plus en détail, la question est formulée par la comparaison entre la philosophie hégélienne et les œuvres des philosophes qu’ils offrent une réflexion approfondie égale au sens de la philosophie per se, comme Franz Rosenzweig, Ludwig Wittgenstein et Karl Löwith et par l’étude de l’interaction entre logique, langage et socialité et le défi de l’historicité pour l’universel réclame la connaissance philosophique. Antonios Kalatzis specializes in philosophy with a focus on Kant, Hegel and the Post-Hegelian philosophy up to today. He completed his dissertation at the Freie Universität Berlin. Between 2013 and 2017 he has been Postdoctoral Researcher at the Martin Buber Society in the Humanities and Social Sciences at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Between 2017 and 2020  he was research associate (wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter) and founding member of the scientific direction of the research group Dynamiken und Erfahrungen der Globalsierung/ Dynamiques et savoirs de la globalisation at Centre Marc Bloch. Together with Markus Messling and Leyla Dakhli he set the programmatic goals and the research profile of the group, while co-authoring its founding texts. At the moment he is co-directing the research group "Critical Thinking in the Plural. Conceptual Paths in the Humanities and in the Social Sciences" and is head of the working group "Centre Marc Bloch Arbeitsgruppe Deutscher Idealismus" Additionally, Antonios is the member of the selection committee  of the Martin Buber Society of Fellows at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and scientific coordinator for the cooperation between the Martin Buber Society of Fellows and the Centre Marc Bloch. The focal point of his research is the intersection between classic German philosophy, its transformations in contemporary philosophy and its relevance for the philosophy of religion in a secular age. He is particularly interested in the question on the meaning of philosophical activity after the so-called collapse of metaphysics. In more detail, this question is being addressed through the comparison of Hegel’s philosophy to the works of philosophers that offer an equally thorough reflection on the meaning of philosophy per se, such as Franz Rosenzweig, Ludwig Wittgenstein and Karl Löwith and through the examination of the interaction between logic, language and sociality and the challenge of historicity for the universal claims of philosophical knowledge. His dissertation, Explikation und Immanenz. Das dreifache Argument der Wissenschaft der Logik, appears shortly at the Hegel-Jahrbuch Sonderband-series (De Gruyter). At the moment his is editing together with Anne Eusterschulte the volume From Ionia to Jena. Franz Rosenzweig and the History of Philosopy (Neofelis) and with Anne Eusterschulte and Enrico Lucca the volume Into Life.
