Biografie

Dr. Dhanasree Jayaram ist Forschungsstipendiatin am Centre Marc Bloch (CMB) und Gastwissenschaftlerin an der Freien Universität Berlin - im Rahmen des Internationalen Klimaschutzstipendiums der Alexander von Humboldt-Stiftung (für Postdocs) 2022-23. Sie ist Assistenzprofessorin am Fachbereich Geopolitik und Internationale Beziehungen und Ko-Koordinatorin des Zentrums für Klimastudien an der Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), Karnataka, Indien. Sie ist außerdem Forschungsstipendiatin der Earth System Governance, Mitglied des Climate Security Expert Network und Mitglied des Planet Politics Institute. Sie hat an der MAHE in Geopolitik und internationalen Beziehungen promoviert. In den Jahren 2014-15 absolvierte sie ein Gaststipendium (Erasmus Mundus - short-term PhD) an der Universität Leiden, Niederlande, und in den Jahren 2018-19 ein Postdoc-Stipendium an der Universität Lausanne, Schweiz, im Rahmen des Exzellenzstipendiums der Schweizer Regierung. Von 2015-20 leitete sie ein Projekt von adelphi (Berlin) zum Thema "Klimadiplomatie", das vom Auswärtigen Amt gefördert wurde. Zu ihren Hauptinteressengebieten gehören Klimapolitik und -diplomatie, Umweltsicherheit und Militär, regionale Umweltpolitik in Asien und ökologische Friedensförderung.;

Dhanasree Jayaram est chargée de recherche au Centre Marc Bloch (CMB) et chercheuse invitée à la Freie Universität Berlin - dans le cadre de la bourse internationale pour la protection du climat (pour postdocs) 2022-23 de la Fondation Alexander von Humboldt. Elle est professeur adjoint au département de géopolitique et de relations internationales et co-coordinatrice du Centre d'études climatiques de l'Académie d'enseignement supérieur de Manipal (MAHE), Karnataka, Inde. Elle est également chargée de recherche au Earth System Governance, membre du Climate Security Expert Network et membre du Planet Politics Institute. Elle est titulaire d'un doctorat en géopolitique et relations internationales du MAHE. Elle a poursuivi une bourse de visite (Erasmus Mundus - doctorat à court terme) à l'Université de Leiden, aux Pays-Bas, en 2014-15 ;

et une bourse postdoctorale à l'Université de Lausanne, en Suisse, dans le cadre de la bourse d'excellence du gouvernement suisse en 2018-19. Elle a géré un projet d'adelphi (Berlin) sur la "diplomatie climatique", parrainé par le ministère fédéral allemand des Affaires étrangères pendant 2015-20. Ses principaux domaines d'intérêt sont la politique et la diplomatie climatiques, la sécurité environnementale et le militaire, la politique environnementale régionale en Asie et la consolidation de la paix environnementale.;

Dr. Dhanasree Jayaram is a Research Fellow at Centre Marc Bloch (CMB) and Guest Researcher at Freie Universität Berlin – under the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation’s International Climate Protection Fellowship (for postdocs) 2022-23. She is an Assistant Professor, Department of Geopolitics and International Relations, and Co-coordinator, Centre for Climate Studies, Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), Karnataka, India. She is also a Research Fellow, Earth System Governance;

Member, Climate Security Expert Network;

and Member, Planet Politics Institute. She holds a PhD in Geopolitics and International Relations from MAHE. She pursued a visiting fellowship (Erasmus Mundus – short-term PhD) at Leiden University, the Netherlands during 2014-15;

and a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Lausanne, Switzerland, under the Swiss Government Excellence Scholarship during 2018-19. She managed a project of adelphi (Berlin) on “Climate Diplomacy”, sponsored by the German Federal Foreign Office during 2015-20. Her primary fields of interest include climate politics and diplomacy, environmental security and military, regional environmental policy in Asia, and environmental peacebuilding.
