Francesco Di Maio ist Doktorand zwichen der Universität Bologna, Doktorat in Architektur und Designkulturen, und der École des hautes études en sciences sociales (EHESS) in Paris, école doctorale in Droit, Etudes Politiques et Philosophie (DEPP).  Assoziiertes Doktorat am Centre Marc Bloch ab 1. April 2022. Sein Forschungsprojekt ist dem Problem der Verräumlichung in der Kunst- und Naturphilosophie von Friedrich Wilhelm Joseph von Schelling gewidmet. Er hat einen Abschluss in Architektur am Polytechnikum Turin (2014) und in Philosophie (2017) und in Semiotik (2020) an der Universität Bologna. Er ist Mitglied des Kollektivs Settima Lettera und der Forschungsgruppe Prospettive - Ricerche in storia della filosofia italiana und Ehrenmitglied der psychoanalytischen Vereinigung officinaMentis. Er ist Herausgeber der italienischen Edition von Andrew Culp, Dark Deleuze (Mimesis 2020). Seine erste Monographie ist Univocità e individuazione. Gilles Deleuze lettore di Giovanni Duns Scoto (ventura 2023).;

Francesco Di Maio est un doctorant en cotutelle entre Alma Mater Studiorum - Université de Bologne, doctorat en architecture et cultures du design, et l'école doctorale en Droit, études politiques et philosophie (DEPP) de l'École des hautes études en sciences sociales (EHESS) à Paris. Doctorat associé au Centre Marc Bloch depuis le 1er avril 2022. Son projet de recherche est consacré au problème de la spatialisation dans la philosophie de l'art et de la nature chez Friedrich Wilhelm Joseph von Schelling. Il est diplômé en architecture à l'École polytechnique de Turin (2014) et en philosophie (2017) et en sémiotique (2020) à l'Alma Mater Studiorum - Université de Bologne. Il est membre du collectif Settima Lettera et du groupe de recherche Prospettive - Ricerche in storia della filosofia italiana et membre honoraire de l'association psychanalytique officinaMentis. Il a édité l'édition italienne de Andrew Culp, Dark Deleuze (Mimesis 2020). Sa primiere monographie est Son Univocità e individuazione : Gilles Deleuze lettiore di Giovanni Duns Scoto (ventura 2023).;

Francesco Di Maio is a PhD student in cotutorship between the Alma Mater Studiorum - University of Bologna, PhD in Architecture and Cultures of Design, and the École doctorale in Droit, Etudes Politiques et Philosophie (DEPP) of the École des hautes études en sciences sociales (EHESS) in Paris.  Associate doctorate at the Centre Marc Bloch since 1 April 2022. He graduated in Architecture at the Polytechnic of Turin (2014) and in Philosophy (2017) and in Semiotics (2020) at the Alma Mater Studiorum - University of Bologna. His research project is dedicated to the problem of spatialization in the philosophy of art and nature in Friedrich Wilhelm Joseph von Schelling. He is a member of the collective Settima Lettera and of the research group Prospettive - Ricerche in storia della filosofia italiana and an honorary member of the psychoanalytic association officinaMentis. Zusammenfassung

Meine Forschungsthese ist eine Gesamtinterpretation des philosophischen Denkweges von Friedrich Wilhelm Joseph von Schelling. Sättigung und Überschuss sind in der Tat die beiden Spannungspole, mit denen der Philosoph in all seinen Werken immer wieder kämpfte. Deshalb versucht mein Beitrag einen Ausschnitt aus Schellings Weg, insbesondere aus seiner Frühzeit (1792-1804). Unter Berücksichtigung des jugendlichen Timaios-Kommentars und der Vorlesungen über die Philosophie der Kunst versucht meine Untersuchung eine Genealogie der Definition von Architektur als erstarrte, verräumlichte oder konkrete Musik. So findet sich gerade im Timaios-Kommentar der erste Hinweis auf diese Konzeption, wo der Demiurg, der als "Weltbaumeister" definiert wird, Formen schafft, indem er das große kosmologische Tier auf der Grundlage harmonischer Proportionen modifiziert. Aus diesem Grund zielt meine Untersuchung einerseits darauf ab, Schellings Beziehung zur Lehre des Hilozoismus zu analysieren und andererseits die philosophischen Konnotationen seiner Architekturkonzeption zu bewerten.  ;

La thèse de ma recherche est une interprétation globale du parcours philosophique de Friedrich Wilhelm Joseph von Schelling. La saturation et l'excédent sont en effet les deux pôles tensifs contre lesquels le philosophe s'est toujours affronté dans toutes ses œuvres. C'est pourquoi mon étude tente de retracer le parcours de Schelling, en particulier sa première période (1792-1804). En prenant en considération le Commentaire au Timée et les cours sur la philosophie de l'art, ma recherche tente une généalogie de la définition de l'architecture en tant que musique figée, spatialisée ou concrète. Ainsi, c'est précisément dans le Timaus-Kommentar que l'on trouve le premier aperçu de cette conception, où le démiurge, défini comme l'architecte du monde (Weltbaumester), crée des formes en modifiant le grand animal cosmologique sur la base de proportions harmoniques. C'est pourquoi ma recherche vise, d'une part, à analyser la relation de Schelling avec la doctrine de l'hilozoïsme et, d'autre part, à évaluer les connotations philosophiques de sa conception de l'architecture.  ;

The thesis of my research is a comprehensive interpretation of Friedrich Wilhelm Joseph von Schelling's philosophical journey. Saturation and surplus are in fact the two tense poles against which the philosopher always clashed in all his works. Therefore, my dissertation attempts a cross-section of Schelling's path, in particular of his early period (1792-1804). Taking into consideration the early Commentary to Timaeus and the lectures on the Philosophy of Art, my research attempts a genealogy of the definition of architecture as frozen, spatialised or concrete music. Thus, it is precisely in the Timaeus-Commentary that the first glimpse of this conception can be found, where the demiurge, defined as the architect of the world (Weltbaumester), creates forms by modifying the great cosmological animal on the basis of harmonic proportions. For this reason, my research seeks, on the one hand, to analyse Schelling's relationship with the doctrine of hilozoism and, on the other, to assess the philosophical connotations of his conception of architecture.
