VITA

After studying philosophy at the École Pratique des Hautes Études and the École Normale Supérieure, Léo Texier defended his doctoral dissertation, „On Romantic Heritage: Revival and Critique of the Aesthetic Philosophy of the Cercle d’Iéna in Walter Benjamin, Georg Lukács, and Carl Schmitt,“ in 2024 under the supervision of Vincent Delecroix. For two years, he worked as an ATER (temporary teaching and research assistant) in aesthetics and philosophy of art at the Université Rennes 2. He is currently a visiting scholar at the Centre Marc Bloch in Berlin (until 2026). His research focuses primarily on contemporary German and European philosophy, aesthetics, and political philosophy. In addition to his academic work, he translates philosophical texts and has translated several books by Giorgio Agamben, Roberto Esposito, and Emmanuele Coccia.
