Marco obtained his Bachelor's degree in Political Science at the University of Catania in 2011. The year later he moved to Paris 8 University where he completed his first year of Master at the Institute of European Studies. He then completed the second year of Master "Expert in European Projects" at the University of Caen in 2014. The same year he worked at Huma-Num in Paris to assist the Board of Directors of the Digital Research Infrastructure for the Arts and Humanities (DARIAH) to prepare and submit European funded projects. Since 2015 he manages EU funded projects at the DARIAH Coordination Office in Berlin. He coordinated the Horizon 2020 projects Humanities at Scale and DESIR.
