Philippe Sands - From East West Street to The Ratline: Justice, Ukraine and Beyond

In East West Street and The Ratline, Philippe Sands has written about the origins of genocide and crimes against humanity, and their close connection to the city of Lviv and Ukraine. In this talk he will revisit those writings and explore the manner in which they have contributed to subsequent developments, in particular the role of law in the current war between Russia and Ukraine, including the establishment of a special criminal tribunal for the crime of aggression.
